The Harford County Retired School Personnel Association is a nonprofit organization of over 600 retired school employees. We represent all employees-custodians, secretaries, teachers and administrators. We are affiliated with the Maryland Retired School Personnel Association and AARP.
Our purposes are:
- To work for the improvement of the general welfare of retired school personnel.
- To promote good fellowship among retires.
- To keep members informed of the activities of the Association and news in the general pertaining to the profession and to retirement life.
- To initiate and to support appropriate legislation for the benefit of retired school personnel.
- To cooperate with the MSRP and NRTA ( a division of AARP), in their efforts to be of service to retired school personnel.
- To promote and offer educational programs that benefits all citizens, especially the retired.
- To offer scholarships to graduating seniors of the current or retired employees of Harford County Schools.
- To promote as a non-profit organization, as defined in section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Service.
